Dubai Prosecution conducted a fire drill and evacuated about 700 people including employees, visitors, detainees and security staff in just 3 minutes.
The drill also covered rescuing a person injured in a fire, presumably started in a cafeteria on the premises.
Three people trapped in toilets and a person with special needs were rescued.
Jasim Abdul Rahman, head of Emergency Unit at Dubai Prosecution, said that the drill was aimed at training employees and visitors on safest ways to combat a fire in the shortest possible time without injuries.
The drill was conducted in cooperation with Dubai Civil Defence.
“We did not receive any notice from the supervisors of the drill. Dubai Prosecution is also keen on updating its employees’ skills by giving them guidelines and training," he added.
