To facilitate the physically challenged passengers, Northern Railways
will be constructing a ramp on each platform of Cantonment Railway
Station for their convenience to commute easily between platforms.
This was announced by ADRM, Northern Railways RK Lal and senior divisional commercial manager, AK Srivastava who inspected the Station on Thursday. The officials also said that the station will soon get Electronic Ticket Vending Machine (ETVM) in its premises. Passengers can avail this service for generating general tickets too.
Meanwhile, officials also visited the circulating area, platforms, and inspected the cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the station premises. They emphasised on generating amenities including drinking water and good sanitary conditions in the station.
