The Lions of Club of Lalbaug and some NGOs will organize several
programs to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities
that is observed on December 3 every year.
The disabled persons
will take out a rally along with eminent citizens on the morning of
December 3 from Nazarbaug compound near Mandvi.
Mayor Bharat Shah will be present during the rally. In afternoon, several sports programs will be kept at Jubileebaug.
On December 4, another sport festival will be kept and on December 5, a
chess tournament will be kept for visually impaired boys. Also, the
government will distribute devices to the handicapped persons at SSG
Hospital on the same day.
The prize distribution has been kept on December 10 at the school for persons with disabilities in Karelibaug.
Several eminent citizens and NGOs will be present during the ceremony to encourage the persons with disabilities.
