Wheelchair cricket match : KARACHI



A wheelchair cricket match of ten overs-a-side was organised here at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Tuesday in connection with the International Day for the Disabled.

Former Test opener Shoaib Mohammad was the chief guest on the occasion. The show was dedicated to late Dr Mohammad Ali Shah for his meritorious services for cricket.

Speaking on the occasion, Shoaib said that he was very glad to see the special people showing their worth in a cricket game.

He said that he would always be ready to support wheelchair cricket.

The chief organiser Ameer Akram Khan said that they would try to hold such programmes every year.

He appealed to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman to support wheelchair cricket both at national and international level.

Chairperson National Foundation Naheed Fatima presented awards to the dignitaries present on the occasion.
