As many as 21, 840 candidates will appear for the District Selection Committee (DSC) tests for teacher posts in the district from May 9 to 11, DEO B. Pratap Reddy said, adding that the candidates include 144 visually-impaired and physically challenged who would write the test with the help of writers .
At a media conference here on Thursday, he said that 2,874 candidates would appear for the Secondary Grade Teacher test slated for May 9, in 12 centres.
Similarly, 3,041 candidates would appear for Language Pandit (Telugu, Hindi and Urdu) test in 13 centres scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 10 and 358 candidates would appear for Physical Education Teacher test from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 10.
In all, 14,500 School Assistant candidates would appear for the test in 61 centres in Kadapa district on May 11.
