Iranian physically-challenged female shooters stand out in 2015 IPC World Cup

Iranian female sports shooters have put in brilliant performances at the 2015 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup in Australia, claiming all three podium places in P2 10m air pistol shooting competitions.
On Saturday, the London 2012 Paralympic Games bronze medalist, Sareh Javanmardi, scored 386 points to finish in the first place and win the gold medal in Sydney, Australia.

Her teammate Samira Eram earned 381 points to land in the second spot and scoop up the silver medal. Iranian female athlete Aliyeh Mahmoudi collected 374 points altogether and received the bronze.

The 2015 IPC Shooting World Cup, with Rio 2016 Paralympics direct quota allocation, opened in Sydney on September 15 and ended on September 19. The sports event attracted 150 athletes from 34 countries.

Iranian shooters managed to clinch a silver medal in P4 (mixed 50-meter pistol SH1) competitions, secure a Paralympic quota place in P1 10m air pistol contests, and snatch all available medals in P2 10m air pistol competitions.
