An international film festival for differently-abled people would be
organized in the State by National Institute for Empowerment of Persons
with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), Chennai and Spastic Society of
Manipur (SSM) .
Informing this to media persons on the sidelines of a special film screening organized by NIEPMD, SSM and Brotherhood Delhi at GM Hall here today, Secretary of SSM Laishram Tokendra Ricky said that the film screening is organized with the objective of motivating the disabled people to live their lives to the fullest.
NIEPMD and SSM are planning to organize the international film festival for disabled people before the end of this year.
The festival would probably be organized at MFDC Hall or Manipur University's Mass Communication Department, Tokendra Ricky added.
Altogether 12 films including four films of disabled persons were screened in today's programme.
