Help extended to differently abled

Imphal West Area Development Program (ADP), World Vision India in collaboration with ALIMCO distributed aids and appliances to Children with Disabilities (CWDs) and People with Disabilities (PWDs) at MBC campus at Chingmeirong on Wednesday.

Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department, Surrender Shishak; Program Manager of Imphal West ADP, Dr. Shalemi Tarao and Coordinator of NE CMBMN, VR Kithan attended as the chief guest, president and guest of honors respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Shishak appreciated World Vision, for its initiatives towards the welfare of the differently able person, and said they must be encouraged so that they live a life of dignity. He stressed differently abled can contribute towards the development of the society much better than that of a normal person as they put maximum efforts in the activities they undertake in order to achieve their goal.


He also added that every individual are not born alike, and called to stop discriminating between them and the rest. Altogether 187 aids and appliances including tricycles, wheel chairs, hearing aids and clutches were distributed on the occasion.
