Photography Workshop For Differently - Abled People

Kolkata, Feb 20 , 2013 (IBNS) NIP NGO (National Institute of Professionals) in association with Rotary Club of Joka conducted a Hands on Photography Workshop for the differently-abled persons at the Victoria Memorial Campus Tuesday.

  • The event was graced by the presence of photographer like Sucheta Das, World Press Photo Winner who consented to guide all differently abled persons participating at the Hands on Photography training.

Debajyoti Roy, Secretary of NIP NGO said: “I think differently-abled people can imagine differently from other people and this is a very unique programme as because in our society people always make a distance between normal and disabled persons. People think that disabled people cannot do the same thing as normal people can do. This is the high time to prove that differently abled people can do photography perfectly. Today, they are here for taking photographs to emphasise wellbeing rather than illness.”
