Mumbai: Real happiness lies in serving orphaned - Summan Agrawal

Lions Club of Thane, Kopri here celebrated Republic Day with the inmates of Premdaan Old Age Home at Airoli here on Monday January 26. Summan R Agrawal is the Committee chairperson of the women empowerment division of Lions Club.

Puneet Kundra, president of Lions Club of Thane, appreciated the efforts taken by this division to bring joy into the lives of the inmates of Old Age Home by means of small orchestra organized by Sukumar Sakhardande, Dr Madhuri and Renu Saxena.

Summan Agrawal donated 101 sets of stainless steel utensils, soaps, towels, biscuits, bed sheets, adult diapers & many other necessary items to Premdaan.

Premdaan Old Age Home consists of 250 female senior citizens who are mentally or physically handicapped and destitute women. This institution totally depends on the donation from people. Sr Meera expressed her gratitude for the donations made by Lions Club.

Balkrishna Purnekar, president of Thane block Congress, Pintu Kumavat, Tony D’Souza, Juliet, Ovleena, Shivpriya, Dr Jyoti Awhad, Vijayalata, Mahesh Kamble, Kuldip Alsinghani, Komal and other social workers were present on the occasion.
