Samarthanam Trust designed a range of skill and employability training programs : Bangalore

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled has been working since 1997. The motive is to empower the visually challenged, disabled and underprivileged people by creating an inclusive society which will provide equal opportunities without discrimination. We also facilitate vocational training and placement support for persons with disabilities. The “Livelihood Resource Centers” promoted by Samarthanam have a dynamic program designed to meet the diverse needs of the disables.

Disability is not a curse. They shouldn’t limit themselves to the four walls of the house. The vision of the trust is to see every disabled person should be a contributing citizen of India. To realize this in action, the trust has designed a range of skill and employability training programs. “Livelihood Resource Centre” endeavors to provide high quality market driven skill training to young adults with disabilities.

The centers facilitate career guidance, counseling, industry specific on job training, and other related employment services. Samarthanam has set up high-tech LRC’s  with trainings like BPO/Call Centre, IT and English Communication to meet the requirements of the new age jobs.  The skill training covers the topic like sales and marketing, warehousing, packaging, customer servicing, health and safety. The package also include hospitality and Garments training also.

The duration of the courses at Samarthanam is varies based on the parameters like pre existing skill sets in the trainee, training package opted for etc. Samarthanam also provides Placement services to the successful candidates that are subjected to candidates’ performance in assessment, interviews.
