Dance Talent of Person With Different Disabilities

In its second year now, the Enable India show showcases performances but with a difference. Get set to witness magic on stage as differently abled people from across India come together to showcase their talent.

Organised by the Utthan Prayash Foundation, a non government organisation, the show is an initiative that aims to give hope, equal opportunity and a platform to the differently abled to display their abilities through different forms of art and culture. This year there are four performances — Wonder Dance on Hands by Kamlesh Patel, Magic on wheels by Helpers of the Handicapped, Rope Mallakhamb by blind students of Smt Kamla Mehta School for Blind and a dance performance by differently abled students of ADAPT (previously known as Spastics Society of India).
Talking about the show, Tulsi Das, President- Utthan Prayash Foundation said, "We have always been at the forefront of offering the best opportunities to showcase the talent of differently abled individuals in the country and the 'Enable India' show is yet another step in that direction. We are committed towards the inclusion of individuals with disabilities within every organisation in the corporate sector across the country and Enable India 2013 is set to change the perceptions of differently abled people in art and culture. We are hoping this initiative will trigger a significant shift and receive maximum support from the corporate sector and people from the society nationally."
Enable India 2013: Ability in Disability, will take place at Rangsharda Bhavan, Bandra on February 10 at 3 pm.
