At least 226 differently able persons were identified and
treated at a health camp organised at Ghumka village under the guidance
of collector Ashok Agrawal.
Civil surgeon Dr Mahobe, orthopaedic surgeon Dr Bhalerao, ophthalmologist Dr VK Shrivastava and other medical experts were present at the camp.
On the occasion, disability certificates have also been given away to the patients.
Dr Mahobe said 226 certificates have been issued, in which 104 patients were orthopaedically handicapped, 53 were mentally disturbed, 26 were suffering from eye defects and 18 were suffering from ear defects.
Dr Mahobe said differently-abled persons are also part of the society and people should cooperate with them. They have also the right to education and they can also work like a normal man after certain trainings.
