Three brilliant blind students of the Punjab University secured a place
in the top five positions of the academic merit for admission to MPhil
in Special Education Department of the Allama Iqbal Open University.

Zia, Shakil Ahmad and Shahzad Gulnar, former students of the Punjab
University, applied for admission on an open merit and were placed at
serial No 1, 3 and 5, respectively, strictly in accordance with the
criteria laid down by the Higher Education Commission. Despite a number
of hardships, their family members fully supported them and the special
students kept their spirit high and qualified all exams in high first
divisions. Sarfraz Ahmad Khan, another blind student, also got admission
to MPhil on merit in the PU.
