The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement
(MQM)’s leader claims to fulfill the promise made by Pakistan Peoples
Party (PPP) to provide bread, cloth and shelter for the people of Sindh.
PakistanTribe‘s
correspondent reported on Thursday that MQM leader Ashfaq Mangi made
this statement while addressing a sit-in by differently able persons
outside the local press club.
Twenties of the physically challenged persons were staging a sit-in to demand jobs and relief from PPP’s Government of Sindh. However, even after 47 days of protest no government official appeared at the site.
MQM Coordination Committee memeber
Ashfaq Mangi visited the sit-in on the advise of their supremo Altaf
Hussain. He also announced to donate Rs 100,000 for each differently
able person as token of respect from Altaf Hussain.
Mangi stated “I ask from the Chief Minister of Sindh if he wants to make all of the Sindh another Thar.”
MQM’s Press Conference
In another press conference from Karachi, MQM leader Senator Babar Ghauri bashed the PPP government for their corruption. He said “Whole world believes in local policing. But at any given time people from PPP’s favorite areas hold more inducts in police force. Where do young men from urban areas go then? It is their due right to get a fair chance of government jobs. Then if these young men from cities demand a separate administrative unit then you start crying.”
