The regional passport office in Chennai will conduct a passport mela on Saturday (November 29).
The mela is being held exclusively for senior citizens above 60 years, physically challenged people and students to facilitate submission of applications.
Passport seva kendras (PSKs) at Saligramam, Tambaram and Aminjikarai will accept applications from people in these three categories for which they have to apply online and get appointment.
People have to log on to www.passportindia.gov.in to register online and generate appointment.
Applicants should produce the printout of the appointment slip, one set of self-attested photographs and other requisite documents.
PSKs will only accept applications under normal category, and not under tatkal and PCC (police clearance certificate) categories.
