The members of Kanpur Handicap Association trained handicapped persons in management of traffic in a camp held at Shastri Nagar Central Park on Sunday. More than 60 physically challenged persons took part in the camp and learnt rules of traffic management.
The camp was headed by senior traffic personnel as well as those who explained the rules of traffic management. The disabled willing to serve as traffic personnel were also made aware of the challenges of the job.
The handicapped traffic personnel working at crossings like Narhona, Tat Mill and Bada Chauraha displayed techniques to manage crowd at busy crossings. Booklet and pamphlets with traffic rules were also given to the participants in the camp.
