Sumit Roy, a young adult with intellectual disability who has 
spent 11 years at Raphael Ryder Cheshire International Centre, has 
brought honour to Uttrakhand in Special Olympics. He was a member of the
 Indian Contingent which participated in the World Winter Games for 
persons with intellectual disability held in South Korea from January 26
 to February 5.
He has won silver medal in floor hockey amid 16 participants, a feat which deserves recognition. In charge of sports for persons with special needs at Raphael, Kishan Singh Rana had accompanied Sumit Roy as his coach to South Korea.
