Concerned over the problems of differently-abled children,
District Collector NS Mandavi said that such children should have a
guardian to look into their various issues. He said that they are also
part of the society, so people should cooperate with them.
Collector Mandavi was presiding over a meeting conducted by district differently-abled rehabilitation centre under guidance of Panchyat and Social Welfare department in which he also distributed the cerebral palsy (CP) chair and certificates to the children.
Dilip Kumar (Doma), Nikhil Jain (Dhamtri), Rekhram (Loharsi), Raju Sen (Loharsi), Amrica Sahu (Sankra), Deepika Yadav (Doma), Chandraprakash Sahu (Doma), Mahesh Sahu (Bhkhara), Tekram Sahu (Tarsiwan), Tameshwar Sinha (Demar), Rakhi Soni (Kostapara) and Tanita Patel (Demar) were the children who received their certificates. One of the children also received CP chair by the Collector.
Officers informed that according to survey, there are 11,705 differently-abled in the district in which 7,388 have not received their certificate. Atul Trivedi, Vinay Sharma, J Kujur, ML Pal, Gajanand Sahu and other members of Akansha Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Raipur were also present.
