VOC Port’s gesture to special school - Tuticorin ( Tamil Nadu )

V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust donated a new bus to a special school run by VOC Educational Society.
At a programme organised on VOC College premises here on Saturday, S. Ananda Chandra Bose, Chairman of the Port, offered keys of the vehicle to the administrator of the special school in the presence of Deputy Chairman S. Natarajan.

C. Veerabahu, Principal, VOC College, said the special school has seven teachers and sixty students.
Over the last ten years, the school had been receiving grants from District Disability Rehabilitation Centre.


Besides, aid and appliances for these children had been provided with assistance from National Institute for Physically Challenged and Mentally Retarded Disability.

Captain Amit Kapoor, Deputy Conservator of the Port, A.P.C.V. Chockalingam, Secretary of the Society, A.P.C.V. Shanmugam, Secretary, VOC College of Education, Tuticorin and others attended the programme.
