An emergency meeting of all the disabled persons associations of all the
hill districts of the State was held at Manipur Press Club here today.
During the meeting, all the members present unanimously adopted certain resolutions.
Accordingly, it was resolved that 3 percent reservation for persons with disabilities should be handled and filled up by the concerned district disabled bodies in the ongoing recruitment for Chowkidar cum Peon under the ADCs and no individual, unions or department should intervene in this recruitment without the consent of the disabled bodies concerned.
Furthermore, today's meeting resolved to convene a general meeting of all the disabled unions of hill districts on December 13 at Imphal.
