Beehives distributed among Physically Challenged in Poonch : Jammu

Pritam Spiritual Foundation Charitable Trust Poonch, in collaboration with Agricultural Department distributed   Beehives   among 40 physically challenged persons here today.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Syed Anwar Hussain Shah was the chief guest on the occasion.

Chief Agricultural Officer, R K Wangnoo, Chairman of the Trust, Retd. Principal S. Jagbir Singh, advocate Sanjay Raina, S. Tara Singh, S. Harnam Singh, Bashir Ahmed Mir and prominent citizens attended the programme.

ADDC in his address appreciated the service of Trust for rehabilitation of the  physically challenged persons and helping them to  lead a respectable life. He said service of mankind is the highest worship, and  Trust is working for a noble cause  by providing  artificial limbs to the handicapped person and imparting  professional training  in Bee keeping, Mushroom cultivation and floriculture for their socio economic up liftment.

President of the Trust informed that during  the past 24 years 3415 victims of mine blasts, cross border firing and  accidents also  about   17 PaK nationals were provided artificial limbs. 1294 cataract operations were conducted in different areas of the state, 324 hearing aids, 127 tricycle , 95 wheel chairs were provided to handicapped persons free of cost besides repairing of artificial limbs. He said that the Trust also organised marriages of orphans, militancy victims and poor  , also 163 sewing machines and 1400 crutches were provided to the needy .

Advocate Sanjay Raina Chief Agriculture Officer, District Agriculture Officer Inderjeet Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
