The Jammu and Kashmir Police today handed over a locomotive support
vehicle to a physically challenged youth aspiring for state civil
services to help him deal with physical barriers in persuit of his goal.
Irfan Ali Yatoo, a resident of Pathanpora Khour in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, is suffering from Poliomyelitis, a highly-infectious disease which leads to permanent disability.
"A locomotive support vehicle was donated to a physically challenged person who aspires for qualifying Kashmir Administrative Service," a police spokesperson said.
The DGP had sanctioned a sum of Rs 66,000 for the purchase of the vehicle, which was handed over to Yatoo by SSP Baramulla.
