Kuldeep bats for physically challenged employees : Port Blair

The  PCC President, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has brought it to the notice of the Lt. Governor that numerous physically challenged employees working under the A & N Administration have been transferred far away from their native place in contravention of UT Administration’s own circular No. 55-3/2007-PW dated 30th July 2007 and  Ministry of Personal, Public Grievance & Pensions (Dept. of P&T) Government of India’s Office Memorandum No.A-B-14017/41/90-Esst(RR) dated 10.05.1990 & O.M No. A-B-14017/ 16/2002-Esst(RR) dated 13.03.2002, where it is mentioned that the transfer and posting of Physically Handicapped employees  be done at their native places.

n his letter to the Lt. Governor, the PCC chief has said that the requests made by many physically challenged employees of the UT Administration who have been transferred away from their native places to transfer them back closer to their native places have been rejected.   R. Sharma has therefore requested the Administrator to consider issue an appropriate order in this regard to all the departments so that the standing circular No. 55-3/2007-PW dated 30th July 2007 issued by the Secretariat is strictly implemented.
